Window shade repair

Our dog decided she liked looking out the window minus the shades so she tore them down. We are trying to figure out how to order new ones and change them ourselves. They have a cloth covered wooden valance with sides over the window which makes it a little difficult. Has anyone ever done this successfully? Any pointers?

I just finished re-stringing a day/night shade in our camper.

You have to remove the valance...should be 2 screws at the sides and 2 (or more) at the top. Measure the width and length needed for the day/night shade and order on line.

I don't need to restring. I need entire shade. She shredded the fabric. I don't know where to order the shades from.

Also I don't have a day/night shade. It's just a pleated single fabric shade. It has 4 strings on the big one and 2 strings on the little one. And the little round plastic string stop on the wall under the window. The shade also
Has a square metal bar on the top and bottom.

Anyone know where to obtain the end caps for the middle rails? Missing end caps on the middle rails of D/N shades that we have to restring. End caps on the fixmyblind.com website do not fit any of the D/N shades for our 2007 FR Rockwood Ultralight 8315SS.

Looks like we have about 3 shades to restring........ Only one of those have end caps on the middle rail.

TIA

Maybe a photo would help? Looks like the last 2 links cfsoistman posted are what you are looking for.

Seems that the day/night shades are made by Irvine Window Coverings, although the decals on the bottom rail of our TT shades are 'Specialty Window Coverings'. Both Irvine and SWC are located in Elkhart, IN. Small businesses; the same business? Regardless, parts for these shades are hard to find, although I did find one Internet source that carries end caps for 'old' and 'new' style D/N shades. Will give those a try and report back for any others that have these shades.
