2012 Georgetown front slide bottom De-lam issue

While doing a pre-trip inspection I noticed something I'd not seen before on the large front slide of our 2012 Georgetown 280DS.
There is a split running inline with the outside edge of the corner roller.
Delamination seems to have caused this.
My question is , has anyone else experienced this and more importantly has anyone had this repaired?

We really love this unit and plan to keep it a long time.
But I have no idea who does this type of work on motorhomes in Ohio or close to Ohio .
I'm north of Columbus between RCD (Sunbary/Deleware and Craig Smith Galion) but my understanding is they don't do this type of work .

Any help, info and insight is appreciated

I had that happen to my full side slide on my 2011 Georgetown 300. My dealer wanted $6000 to pull the slide out and rebuild the bottom of the slide. What I did was go to my local metal supply and buy some 1/8 thk by 10" wide aluminum strips.
Cut the strips to the dept of my slide, jacked up the slide and slid the aluminum above the rollers, and screwed in from below. Ben working well for 2 years. Worked for me.

Lifting the slide seems like a job & a 1/2.

Found the damage goes farther in on the aft inner corner as well .
On an up side I found & addressed the water intrusion areas.
We just had a week of off & on heavy rain and there has been no more wet / damp carpet.

Those look like drag marks from the rollers to me. Delamination is separation of the filon from the substrate due to water damage.

Did you ever observe the rollers turning while someoneone else extends or retracts the slide?

I have a class c Sunseeker and both slides are supported by beefy aluminum or galvanized steel gear assemblies. No rollers

You have a nice class a I don't blame you for wanting to fix it right and hang on to it

I contacted Chris , the owner of TALIN RV in Fla.
they were very helpful I took the measurements & some pics and sent them in.
They shipped UPS on Tuesday 8/7 .
The Guardian Plates arrived on Friday 8/10.
They'd been forecasting rain for the next 6-7 days but we got a bit of a break & I got started today.
The videos available for these plates focus on Monaco Coaches & so I wasn't sure how much difference there would be in the process.
I'm happy to say for a 2012 Georgetown the process is even simpler.
Notice I said simpler not easier.
Drilling all the holes & riveting over head was a pain though I did hit the gym prior to this so that didn't help.

Of course on par with the usual accuracy of our weather forecasters I'm typing this as I wait for a storm cell to finish doing its ghing.
I havevthd rear plate on & have removed the front corner bracket, scraped off the old caulk, cleaned the surfaces with acetone and cut the front plate to fit.

Looks like a nice job. Too bad the factory didn't design it better but that's the way it goes. My FR Sunseeker has 2 slides but a different design with a heavy duty center beam mounted on a beefy bracket. Your fix should last a long time

Chris said roller plates for the center rollers were said to not be needed at this time as there was no damage or wear showin.
(nice to get an honest opinion from someone who would benefit from selling me more)

If these perform as expected I'll order the roller plates anyway as a preventive step.

Sunday makes 7 days which is the cure time for the Marine 5200 adhesive.
Anxious to run the slide in & out as well as get back out on the road.

Sunday came & went.
I ran the slide in & out three times.
Operated smooth as silk.
Anxious to put this "adventure" behind us.

The factory now uses 2 thin strips of metal covered by a nylon material that won't damage the floor should the slide settle. Had a slide done while at the rally. They did all the rollers on the one slide so as to even the load across all rollers (5 total). Your installation looks good.
