2015 Berkshire 40QL Slide Out Stuck

The Dresser Slideout on my Berkshire XL, Slide will move about 6 inches out and then get stuck with a loud ratcheting sound from the top center of the slideout. When trying to close, I get the same result. The slide does not close all of the way (stays open about 2 inches). Any thoughts?

Sounds like you may have had a cable break and it has gotten wrapped up around things ether motor or pulleys. The front fascia comes off with four screws to revile the workings at the top.

If you are going to play with it yourself watch this video

You can get replacement cables on Amazon. I carry extras now.

You will probably find you have a tooth broken off the gear in your gearbox located over the slide

Good comments. I purchased this as a leftover late Mar 16. So, since it is under warranty, I'm going to let the pros have a go with it. It goes in the shop on 7 Jun.
