2018 Georgetown 36B5 Slide Outs and Awning Jerky

We are on a trip and all of a sudden all of our slides and the awning started jerking when moving versus being smooth. Happened at two different camping locations when hooked up to shore power and generator. No breakers seem tripped. Any ideas???

Were your jacks down and the rig level? What do you mean you were on shore power and generator?

The rig was leveled and parking brake on. I thought the “quality” of power could have been the problem initially so we tried generator power too. No luck. It is like the motors for the slides and awning aren’t getting enough power.

I think I would take a look at the coach batteries and make sure they are charged to 100% slides and awnings typically are wired to the batteries not to the power converter.

One didn't work well, he tried the other. Nothing wrong with that.

Converter or battery?

On a WFCO or Progressive Dynamics installation, the converter is directly connected to the distribution board which is directly connected to the battery(s) through the reverse-polarity fuses.

So unless the fuses are blown, the slides and awnings are connected to both the converter and the batteries.

The only distinction of the slides, jacks, and awnings from other appliances is that they aren't fused at the distribution board, but (typically) with inline fuses connected to the battery(s). That doesn't mean they don't receive amps from the converter if there is shore power.
