On a WFCO or Progressive Dynamics installation, the converter is directly connected to the distribution board which is directly connected to the battery(s) through the reverse-polarity fuses.
So unless the fuses are blown, the slides and awnings are connected to both the converter and the batteries.
The only distinction of the slides, jacks, and awnings from other appliances is that they aren't fused at the distribution board, but (typically) with inline fuses connected to the battery(s). That doesn't mean they don't receive amps from the converter if there is shore power.
