3701 Sanibel Bedroom Slideout Issues

I'm having problems with our bedroom slide out on our 3701 Sanibel. It is the only slide that is electric and runs totally off the battery. It wouldn't come in when we closed it up for the Summer. I was able to find the override in the storage area and it worked fine once I followed the override procedure (pushing a button on an electronic controller six times and then holding it on the seven time). I'm just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and could it be caused by a low battery?? Also, why does the electronic override work when the normal button doesn't, do they run off different power systems? Any assistance would be appreciated.
