Air Sealing Around Slides?

Was 23F this morning in Western NC. I was "snowed in" on the mountain yesterday. So I got really familiar with the unit's air leakage.

Do everyone's slides have so much air leakage? Are there proven ways to reduce the leakage?

Thought I had done a pretty good job with added compressible foam rope weatherstripping. Was amazed at all of the BIG HOLES for plumbing and wiring. Used steel wool (to stop field mice) and spray foam (for air leakage) took care of the plumbing and electrical holes that I could easily get to.

The slide mechanisms and exterior hatch doors are another matter. Any air sealing and weatherstripping recommendations?
Thanks,
Chris-and-Julie

On ours after taking delivery I used black silicone caulking to seal the under penning 8 tubes of it, and 2 can squirt foam, just to seal up the under pinning. There was a gap down each side of the slides that I also used black silicone it looked like FR forgot to seal those gaps. I took off the divider panel in the storage compartment and used spray foam to seal all the plumbing penetrations also under the sink were plumbing penetrations. In each corner of my slides I can see day light coming thru but I haven't decided what to do about that yet. Good luck with sealing the air out.

If you're getting much air leakage around the slide, it probably needs to be adjusted so it fits tighter to the bulb seals that surround the opening.
