Berkshire 390RB Slide Fix????

I have a possible fix for slide outs mechanical failure, not going in and out consistently. When I read about raising the motor to get a better connection between drive gear and driven slide bar, I think that maybe lowering the slide down by lowering the rollers it rides on. It will put the slide bar in closer tolerance and allow more weight on where the slide bar and motor gear mesh. When I hear the slipping gear chatter the first thing I want to do is push down on bed to get a connection. I will test my thought, and report back.
