Carpet and floor wet dining slide. Why?

We have been setting in central Texas in the big rain fall last night and today. Eating supper noticed my house shoes were wet on the soles and the carpet is soaked on both sides of the table about 15 inches square. Slide does not appear to be leaking anywhere around the seals and the carpet is not wet any place other than those areas. Is it possible because of so much rain the runoff from the slides somehow migrated under the slide?

I'm stumped but most likely will need to pull carpet and check the plywood but any one who has any other suggestions please weigh in.
