crown gears needing replaced

its a really long story and i really don't want to get it into it but i have to replace both crown gears in my Cherokee 28A.

I have the gears, i am a "B" student on fixing things myself. is there an advice on how to do this job?

I am guessing i have to get the slide in the out and stabilize it. then what? I am afraid what might happen when i start disassembling. Is there a diagram or a 1, 2, 3 approach.

Are you referring to the gear pack assemblies on the cross shaft? If so, here's something I found on Lippert's site... http://www.lci1.com/images/support/lipsheet/0053.pdf

Dave - it isn't the gear pack, but the actual gear they drives the rail...

I think this will work though. I have filtered through the web/parent directory and found some valuable information.

Thanks,
brock

Hey Boones, can you post some links you found, just for any future reference?

It doesn't look like much, you have to drill down and find what you are looking for. I found the manuals and the complist were most helpful.
