delay when putting out slides?

We just got back from a 12 day trip to the Smokey Mountains and noticed when we were sliding out and retracting the slides that there was a pause about every 3 seconds when the slides are moving. When we first got our camper home the slides extended and retracted without this pause. Its a 365 saq sandpiper. Any ideas what could be causing this pause?

Sounds like a self resetting circuit breaker bad or to small of amp . imo

Need to put an amp meter on power cable to slide.

Since you did not mention the year of your camper, when was the last time you lubricated the slide mechanism?

Just to clarify. How long is the pause? Is the slide drive electric or hydraulic?

A lot of times there are 2 40 amp breakers that control the slides....swap them out for 50 amp ones.

IMO, this is a bad idea. If the motors are drawing higher than rated current, a fire is not far behind. An auto-resetting 40 amp breaker might be a better option as it will allow the motor and wires to cool before re-applying power.
