Dometic Slide Topper Hardware

I have a damaged bracket on one of my Dometic slide toppers... the bracket like in the picture got bent, (The one sticking up) I had to remove it to operate the slide... what does it do? it does seem to interact with anything and if it IS important, where do I get a new one?

That is the lock mechanism. It serves as the anti-billow device when the slide is in while your traveling. If wind gets under the topper it stops it from unrolling by resting against a bracket on the RV's wall. You don't want to travel without it.

You will have to contact A&E Dometic for replacement.

Manual below.
