Question Electric Slide gets jammed after long/bumpy trips

We have a 2010 Rockwood Ultralight 8316SS. The slide carries the couch and the U dinette. Two or three times this summer, after a 6+ hour tow, we'd arrive at the campground and find that the slide wouldn't go out. No noise on pushing it out, but the clicking when pulling it in (switch movement).

The first time it happened, our group had just pulled into Savannah GA after towing from upper NC. Once we loosened the stop nut on the push rod, we were able to get the slide to go in and out. We let the slide come all the way in and then set the stop nut again. Worked fine all the way down to FL and back until I reached my driveway where I had to do it again.

Does anyone have an idea of what is worn, so that I can replace it and not have to crawl under the TT after a long day of towing?

The stop is the part inside the red square in the image.

I discovered it's called the Slide-Out Stop Can Assembly.

I can order a replacement for $13 from Lippert.
