How does this slide out extend?

Hi everybody. I just bought a 2000 Georgetown M-346s and I'm having problems getting the slide out room to extend. I know it works because the guy that I bought it from extended it with my wife inside the coach while I was looking at the tires. The problem is I cannot figure out what combination of things need to happen in order for the room to be extended. So far I have tried it with the engine running, engine off but on acc, jacks up, jacks down, on generator with batterys on, on generator with batteries off. The parking brake was applied in all scenarios. Is there a main power override for the room that would keep the switch from getting power? There is no movement at all when I push the switch to out or in. Also, where is the manual override in case I need it?

I have pretty much everything else figured out, but this is really frustrating me. Any help would be really appreciated!

Well first off I believe the slides are interlocked with the ignition so they cannot be opened with the ignition on. They are 12 volt powered and the ignition should be off. The levelers will function with ignition on and the parking brake set. The parking brake is not needed for the slide outs to function though.

Great. I asked the guy I bought it from and he told me the key had to be on, so that's what I went with. You are correct, the key has to be off, not on. Once that was off and the batteries were turned on the room worked perfectly.

Thanks for the help!
