Hydraulic Slide Hose Colors

Can anyone tell me which hose color is which? My unit has black and red hoses running from the pump manifold. One color goes to the non-rod side and the other to the other side of the cylinder. Just wondering which is which.

Thanks

Sure the black hoses carry the pump pressure from the manifold solonoid control valves to the extend side of the cylinders. The orange or red hoses connect from the cylinders retract side (close). Both sides operate at about the same pressure, the pump or flow control is reversed to change direction.

Installed a shut-off valve on the 'black' line leading to the bedroom ram. This allows us to not open the bedroom slide if we desire. And we want to not open when parked at our stick house as it would crunch against the gutter and overhang. Works like a champ. Found a 2000psi rated valve and installed it between the manifold and black line.

Thats great, surprised to hear some units had parallel slides. Later you can modify your valve to a 12 VDC solenoid and make your choice frm inside. Merry Christmas and nice job!
