I could not find a thread on slide awning installation. I have a Surveyor SV264 and want to add an awning over the slide. The directions say to put the bracket so the holes will enter just inside the slide wall. This would make it so the screws would go through the trim on the slide. Is this correct? Or should it be mounted just below the trim? If someone who has a slide awning could tell me I would appreciate it. I don't want to do it wrong. Thanks.
I have read and the measurement they say would have it going through the trim. I was hoping that that was not necessary as I would have to add spacers to keep it level and buy new screws.
I had it installed very recently. If you are not in a hurry, I will take detailed pictures for you when I visit the trailer this weekend and post them.
