Unhappy Interior lights on slides

I have a 2011 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite (8315BSS). After putting the slides either in or out the interior slide lights don't work. I then have to replace the 15A fuse. This has been going on for quite a while and I'm not sure what the next step should be without costing a bundle.

You need to start digging deeper into all parts of the slide to see how the wiring gets from the main part of the trailer and into the slide.

If you start at the lights in the slide, you could try by removing the actual bulb(s) and run the slide in and out to see if the problem exists with blowing fuses.

Somewhere around the perimeter of the slide you have to find the wire route. There will be some flex wiring to allow the slide to travel. I suspect the short circuit is happening where the wiring is unsupported.

Sounds like a feed wire to the slide is rubbing and shorting out.

Have you checked under the slide for a problem? Most times the wiring is held up by a flex or folding arm. Many here have reported problems with them breaking.
