Unhappy Internal Slide Seal repair

Howdy gang. Since yall are such a wealth of information i thought id ask here first. I noticed the interior seal on the left side of my bedroom slideout is just hanging off. Anyone know how to get it back in that channel? I tried fidgeting with it and couldnt get it to go back in. Do i have to remove it completely and re-insert down from the top into the channel?

44 Views and no replies. I guess no one has had this problem. Also there is no strip across the top, should there be? Ill attempt to tackle it again this weekend.

The first time I saw your thead I couldn't see the pics. If the seal is loose in the channel I'd take it out and start over. You may be able to warm it with a hair dryer and put it back in. I'd put some baby powder on it so it won't stick.
Good luck
Bob

Not sure about your particular model but it seems like there should be one on top too. Sounds like they missed in at the factory.

Any RV slide I have seen had a seal on the inside and outside of the top. The top inside seal usually sweeps the roof of any standing water that may be there while you retract. The outside top seal is what provides the water tight seal when closed.

This is actually on the inside. Im assuming its to make it airtight when the slide is out.

Well i was able to slide it out and just re-feed it down from the top being careful to not let it push out of the channel. All is good. i also talked to Aaron from forest river. He is shipping me out a section of seal to insert into the top. So far FR customer service has been awesome for us!!
