Our ikss has the rv fridge and stove in the slide. Haven't had a cooling issue on AC. This summer will be our first boondock with this rv so I may choose to add fans (as seen in other posts) but we'll see. The only issue I've had is the plastic bracket/conduit that holds the electric and gas lines broke. My slide is electric for the kitchen slide.

We've been using our slide refer for 4 years without issue beyond a kinked gas hose found by the dealer during the PDI. The fan does run during hot weather but is it pretty quiet and ice cream remains pretty hard.

Have to agree with everyone on this post, we personally had problems from day one with our fridge in the slide out. Long story short, the fridge needed a new cooling unit, and was not even close to being installed according to Dometics very stringent installation guide. After having it rebuilt and properly installed by Carren RV in North Carolina. He is an RV refrigeration specialist trained by Fords RV Refrigeration. It now cools perfectly freezer at 0 to -2 and fridge stays 34 to 38 regardless of outside temps. The computer fan was changed during the repair to a much quieter one with more cfm. Our unit is a 2016 Silverback 33IK.

I think providing you get a good working unit that is installed correctly you should not have a problem.
