Quick question you had to buy the entire motor to get the gear?

Sometimes, a plastic gear between two metal ones like that is there for a reason. It acts as a mechanical fuse. If something binds, that gear gets destroyed rather than some other, more expensive part. Other times, it is just a poor design.

I would check and make sure that nothing is binding in your slide. Then you'll know that it's the latter.

Slide goes in and out by hand just fine, just takes 30 min to crank by hand, also no pass through on the frame had to get closed end 5/8 rachet wrench and open up the under side to get to, more BS,why they would give you a crank handle you cant use is beyond me...
