Lippert thru slide

2014 XLR Thunderbolt 380 amp
Lippert thru wall slide bed slide.
C-2 Controller
error code wire short between controller and motor.
manual override get the same error code
forward motor not working
slide is fully retracted and can't reach motor
wiring looks OK but can't access wires or connector at motor. we're in Sioux Falls, SD with little or no phone signal.
The only good thing is the slide is fully retracted.
Is there a way to manually move the slide out so I can reach the motor to inspect the wiring and or replace the motor?

I ran into this exact problem over the weekend, however override worked for me though it was temperamental and only worked about every fourth try. My mobile repair guy was awesome and walked me through process and I was able to get it in and out to complete my trip. As far as manual operation, I was told the motors have to be removed from both sides of the slide unit to manually slide it in and out. He told me it was very difficult to do this. He checked everything (wiring was good, slide worked in override, no obstructions)and drew the conclusion my C2 controller was defective. Now to decide whether to buy new and replace myself or let the warranty and dealer mess with it. $200 on ebay vs a few weeks without my camper.

If you are not able to move the slide using your 'manual' over ride option.

Remove all 12 volt power to the unit and have several people push/pull the slide out when you are ready to work on the motor. From what I have been told and read, the motor(s) have 'brakes' that are 'on' when there is 12v power to them. Remove all 12v current and the 'brakes' will release. this will allow the slide to move in and out by push/pulling it. Remove the 12v power by having the camper unplugged from short power and disconnect the 12v battery.
