Finally, I see people saying ... YES .... lubricate the slide gears (and rails).
When we picked up our 2302S last year the dealer emphasized the importance of lubricating. They even specified what I should use. It’s made by a company called
Protect All and the product is called
Slide-Out Dry Lube. They have a web site at
www.protectall.com and it looks to me that the product is available right across North America.
I've seen many posts saying NOT to lubricate, even quoting the Slide Manufacturers guidelines. A couple of weeks ago, when I was at the Dealership I brought the matter up again and the Service Tech just shook his head - saying he wished the engineers could see the condition of the units he has to work on where no lubrication was used.
Protect All also sells a specific lubricant for the Slide Seals as well.
I use both.
