Manual operation of slide out

I have a 2004 Georgetown and the rear slide out is stuck in the extended position. I am trying to figure how to manually close it but don't know exactly what I am looking for and where it is under the coach. I need to get it closed to take it in for servicing. Any advice would be most welcome.

Are the slides in your Georgetown electric or hydraulic? There's a different procedure required. Here's a link to LCI to download the appropriate manual...it will be found under 'Slide out Selections', "Through Frame Selections'... Technical Support Center and Videos

I don't know and the owners manual is no help at all. How can I tell? And what do I do for each type to manually retract the slide out?

I would think that you have a hydraulic system on you MH for the levelers. Do you extend/retract all slides with one control switch...if so they're hydraulic drive as electric drive would have a separate switch for each slide.

If the slide is hydraulic see the section on manual operation page 18 in this manual... http://lci1.com/assets/content/suppo...de-out-web.pdf

If the slide is electrically driven see the section on manual operation on page 6 in this manual...

Thank you for the information. I have a switch for each slide out - so that means electric. However, I am not seeing the crank extension with pin. Mine looks nowhere near like the pictures.

We had a friend come over and help get the slide closed. Turns out they are hydraulic and a line under the bed was disconnected. Once we refilled the system, we were able to get the room to close. Now off to the shop. Thanks for your help.

Trailer manufacturers should know that their owners manuals really suck. They make 1 manual to cover all of their trailers that don't give details worth a crap on any particular model or any particular problem. They should spend a few more dollars of the thousands we give them to print manuals that will give us some details when we have a problem. Can I get a couple of AMENs from anyone?

Amen and Amen!! It has been most frustrating. Especially for us newcomers. Trial by fire! We have LOTS to learn and the lack of a manual that says anything is not helpful.
