But WTFO????

Let's start to diagnose this correctly with some basic trouble shooting.
One: Do the hydraulic rams retract and extend easily? They use the same hydraulic pump and fluid.
Two: Have you used the white switch by the pump (toggle) to open and closed the slides?
Three: Where your inside slide switch for the slides is there is also a slide on off switch has this been partial moved?
Four: Another problem maybe the switch itself could have loose wires; did you check the switch for this?
Your hydraulic system is a closed system, so unless you have a failed hose assembly somewhere you will not lose any fluid. Also low fluid level will not affect the slide function unless the pump is cavitating from air entering the pump. But this would effect the raising and lowering of your hydraulic rams too.
So let me know what you find out after looking at these four items and we go on from there.

Two: Have you used the white switch by the pump (toggle) to open and closed the slides? Yes, and for some reason on ONE occasion it worked slightly better. Same issue, but the slides finally closed using that one.
Three: Where your inside slide switch for the slides is there is also a slide on off switch has this been partial moved? There is a slide on/off switch, and I have ensured it's in right position. However, that could be the culprit I suppose........not sure how I'd know without dismantling switch. It's in the main switch panel inside cabinet door by front door area.
Four: Another problem maybe the switch itself could have loose wires; did you check the switch for this? I have not dismantled the switch. Not sure that's in my pay grade. However, same problem has occurred with either switch. If I turn on/off enough times, it finally strains and will close, regardless of which switch is used.

Also, I emailed LCI and sent picture of my reservoir (Pic above). I distinctly told them in the email that the pic was of the reservoir when slides were DEPLOYED. Their answer was "your fluid is low". It may be, but I clearly have fluid, so hard to think that's the issue......but it's possible. I assume from above it's just ATF fluid........
Have bigger fish to fry........my house a/c is out, and it's 95 degrees today. Coils are shot and leaking freon. That's become a higher priority, but I WILL check back with this periodically. I do appreciate all the thought that you guys put into trying to help someone.

Crazy question? Have you checked the controls for the individual slide room to see that they are all opened and not maybe slightly closed, just a thought. Mine were located in the docking area and sometimes working in there might bump and close them slightly.

That's been asked, and checked........but.........
I went and checked again. They are pretty much open.......but there is a white line on each knob, and I was visually putting that white line exactly perpendicular. But I just went to check again and to totally open them you have to go ever-so-slightly past straight up. So, I moved them a tiny smudge past, to the left, where they felt a 'stop'......
I can't imagine that would matter, but it's as good a straw to grasp as any at this stage. I can't test it.......I am going to have to sleep out there next few days.

We have a '17 CC Champagne that is doing the same thing as yours. Sometimes the slides come in properly but most of the time the two living slides stall. To get us through until later this fall, the hubs will turn those two slide control knobs off then back on which seems to 'reset' something or, at least, relieve pressure. Sometimes, it does take two or three tries of turning the knobs off then back on to get the slides to come in.
We also have a problem with some sort of back pressure as the slides will start to drift out on their own while we're loading the trailer onto the truck. To counter this, once the slides are all in, I bump the Slide Out switch a couple times really quick to help relieve the pressure. He also turns off all three slide control knobs. We don't know if these issues are caused by air in the lines or some sort of check valve problem.
The dealer knows of the issues that we are having but we don't want to be without a camper for the best part of the season.
