Part ID Slide Out

This part came off the side of my 3010DS. It is located at the top left of the main slide out (towards the front of RV). I have looked through catalogs and not sure how to search for a picture so thought I would ask here.

There is one on the bedroom slide out, but does not seem anything 'connects' to it. Hopefully the pic attached and someone can identity it for me.

The bracket is simply a 'stop' to keep the slide topper awning from unrolling (usually going down the road) if the spring inside the awning should happen to break.

You'll see what looks like a lever sticking out from the awning tube. It makes contact with the bracket to keep the awning from unwinding. As the slide comes out away from the side of the rig, the lever gets far enough away from the bracket so that it can unwind as the room goes out.

Also... looking at the photo, it appears something hit it (paint knocked off/metal marred) and no doubt something surely moved it enough that the entire bracket came off the side of the trailer.

Under normal circumstances it simply sits on the side wall of the trailer and does nothing, ever.

I'd be looking to see what other damage might have been done when it was knocked off.

Thank you, very much appreciated. There is no damage to the RV itself as I was thinking same thing. Something must have got it perfectly. Thanks for the information and the picture, very helpful. I know now what it is and it's purpose.
