Partial slide out extension

I've got the '17 2618VS. Is it acceptable from a structural standpoint to partially extend the sofa slide in order to get from the aft bedroom to the living/kitchen area when on an overnight road side rest stop?

From a structural standpoint, you should be fine. However, the slides are only sealed when fully extended or fully closed. Leaving them open partially could subject you to leaks.

Send a message via Yahoo to bob caldwell
And the inner edge of slide floor might be alittle weak...

Good info Bob. I do recall noticing the edge of the slide floor being a bit off the TT floor when in transit.

Dry weather and acceptable temps you should be fine if you do not walk on it.

If they're Schwintek slides (the kind with 2 rails on either side of the slide box), don't do it. They're designed to run fully out and fully in and synchronize the motors at full extension/retraction.
