Poor man's slide topper?

During a *major* downpour few days ago about a cup of water got into my trailer right where the slide meets the wall by the floor towards the front. Im seasonal and have never seen that happen before. My trailer is tillted forward about 3". Is there anything else that i could use besides a slide topper/awning? Should i be concerned? All the seals are pointing outward and are tight to the slideout.
Anybody tried anything else? Any ideas?
