Was your slide on cables attached to the roof, or was it on rails on the bottom of the slide. The reason I ask is that I have a FR 21 WRS V-Lite with the rear slide. Any info is appreciated. Glad everyone is OK.

I always wondered if this could ever happen but never actually heard/seen it.

Scary!

Very sorry that happened! We owned a 21rs before we got our 25rs. The bed on the new one is a king so there's even more weight. Makes you wonder if an external support to the bumper might be needed like pop-up. Hope F R helps you, would be criminal not to.

I agree with many comments here. I guess a recall is totally out of the question.

A recall? This is hardly a common problem.

I agree; they would need to determine why it happened and then see if it is a "one off" or a manufacturing/training issue before a "fix" can be found (if needed) and implemented via recall.

Way too early to think in that direction.

Not what I wanted to hear. Thanks. If you don't mind, send me a pm and let me know what they find and do about it. I don't know about you, but I really like this unit. It has been a perfect fit for me and the wife.

Whoa, Nellie!!! First and foremost, I'm glad no one was injured!! Have seen slides that popped out because of poorly adjusted/malfunctioning extenders. This is a new one on me. Hope you can get this resolved with Forest River. Looks like Bob is the guy who can move things forward for you!!

Happy to hear that no one was injured but not happy to hear you had this problem! Now that Frog Bob and Leo are on the case, I'm sure that you will be taken care of.

Is it just me?
Does anyone else think that in the lower photo the wood (or whatever)looks like it has been very wet? Particle board would have NO strength after being wet repeatedly.
Glad there were no serious injuries.

Actually the frame that supports the bed...the rear slide aluminum frame broke in 3 places...thats what holds the bedroom up in the walls too ...its not supported by waferboard/particle board or they would ALL be falling out

Maybe I missed it, but did FR get in touch with you (kant160) and give some hope of a resolution?

Good. When all is said and done, please keep us up to date, maybe even a picture or 2.

Herk notified me about the post and the incident about an hour ago. I'd not yet seen the post until then. I've contacted the head of the four Flagstaff/Rockwood plants and Leo Akins, who headed up our service operations at the FROG Rally. Leo has already been in touch with the appropriate service staff.

Will you please send me a PM with your contact information so that I can have service follow up with you? If you prefer, you can also send it to the e-mail address in my signature.

Thanks!
It's only because of THIS forum and posts similar to THIS one that I decided to buy a Silverback! There were several options.

Thanks Herk and Bob

Really upset to hear this, Beth.
Will be talking to Bob about it.

He may need to "re-engage".
