Yes still under warranty but on a extended trip 1600 miles from dealer. Don't want to take it to a FR warranty shop and be stranded for weeks or month or more in a hotel.
So purchased motor/gearbox direct from FR Parts, shipped express. Concerned I will misalign chain/cables after replacing the motor/gearbox.
Good news is Rockwood warranty dept agreed to cover under warranty (reimburse) cost of motor, shipping and labor for repair.
Think I found a nearby mobile repair service experienced with BAL Accu-Slide room slideouts. I will probably have to pay for service call charge. Fingers crossed that RV technician can actually fix it.
