Roo Rear Slide Out of Alignment, Cracking Fibreglass at Corners

We notices cracks in the rear wall of our 2008 Roo 26rs, around each corner of the rear queen bed slide.
Upon further investigating I found that one of the rails/arms that the slide rides on was out of adjustment, and it was causing the slide to bulge out and push through the rear slide. My father in law tells me that a small branch fell on the slide when I wasn't there, and he removed it. But even if it did cause it to go out of alignment, I would have thought that it would have been more robust. Anyways, I phoned Forest River but they couldn't help me as our warranty is expired, and they say that they don't have a known issue. My insurance company got an estimate for the repair, and it came in at $12,000, so they wrote it off completely. As great as the layout was, I'm staying away from rear slide trailers from now on. Got a new (to me) Jayco now. It's interesting how many similar issues are posted on the net...I'm thinking that IT IS a known issue.
