Just a simple pair of jumper wires with alligator clips will do the trick.

seemed what the mech did was more complicated. Plus I don't think a clip would fit in the plug that goes to the motors. I'll have to pull up the schematic and see if I can recall 8th grade electronics class...

I've already posted my issues with the 3050 slide under the Sunseeker forum, but I have another humorous development I thought I'd share. Contacted the dealer today, who has had my new motorhome for over a month. In the process of beginning to repair my slide issues, the Schwintek controller went out, making it impossible to actually begin the originally intended repair. Mind you, I've only run the slide out less than five times since I bought this unit new in September (and every time it was perfectly level). Definitely not a positive sign for the longevity of this slide unit.

Hoping that someday i will actually be able to use the RV I'm making payments on

just bought a 2015 Berkshire diesel 34qs which uses schwintek motors on the slide out.
I am getting a error message on the controller for one of the slides, 6 red flashes, which is for a shorted out motor. Yet the slide seems to work ok. I only get the error message when it is extended not retracted.

Can anyone help.

We bought our 5er new just this past Sept. and took it for a short ( 7 day trip ). On our 5th night out the bedroom slide with Schwintek mechanism was stuck in the closed position. We found a dealership along the highway which was able to repair the slide.
That was a faulty motor with a ground wire not connected. We completed the short trip and came home.
Now the trailer is in the driveway and after completing the winter preparations we closed up the slides and that same bedroom slide will not close completely on the forward edge. It will go out and in but always stops 4" short of a complete close on that forward edge.
The trailer goes in for service on the 1st of December to repair this.
Needless to say I'm not too impressed with Schwintek at this point. It appears to be a very simple system and certainly keeps the weight to a minimum, but if it is going to be a service problem this will be my last Schwintek.

The last time I had my slide in for repair they told me to hold the button down and not release until the unit shut itself off! Maybe you are already doing this. I can't tell that it made much difference in mine personally! I have about an inch to inch and half difference in mine from front to back. I am very frustrated with mine wondering if each operation will indeed open/close as it should.

Same motor and gear on the same motor? Either way, it sounds like you have a binding/slide alignment issue that your dealer is not addressing. Over stressing the motors/gears will cause eventual failure.
