Best to use one of the dry lube spray for the mechanism, don't use anything wet that will attract and keep dust/dirt.
For the rubber and vinyl seals/gaskets, 303 Protectant. Best stuff around, hands down. Contains no petrolium products. Safe for all rubber, vinyl, plastic, and any run-off will not hurt anything.
A bit pricey, but the good stuff usually is.

Thanks for the link on maintenance.
I have new Coachmen and this is 1st RV with a slide. Am wondering if there is some adjustment. I note the top of the slide is compressing the gasket so there is only 1/8" between the slide and body while the bottom has 1" between the slide and body. It looks like the gears are not properly set in the gear guide such that the top is canted toward the coach.

I write a blog on RV tire application and safety.
Also give seminars on tires at RV events across the US. 40 years experience as tire design & quality engineer for major tire mfg. Freelander 23QB on Chevy chassis is my RV
