I have looked at a lot of schwintek slide videos, as I have had some issues with my main slide since the very first day that I have had it... (my unit is at an RV repair place right now because my main slide is not working correctly again). In all of the videos, all of the slides seem to be out at least a foot or so, which makes getting to the set release screw easier. I called schwintek and asked them on how to get to the set screw that is out side, but covered up by the slide trim. Do I take the slide trim off? I was e-mailed the short trouble shooting list and was told to disconnect the power to the motors and they then would move freely. I was told that the motors must have some type of braking on them or the slide could potentially rattle out while going down the road. voltage activates the braking.
If I said anything that seemed offensive, I did not mean too. Sorry.
