Talking Single Slide Out on 31QBH

Hey gang:

I have a Lippert hydrolic system model 643150. Works the jacks and a single slide out. We had a "near miss" with the slide out not going in. We were able to work it in. However, the panic of having to do it manually did cross our minds. After reviewing some Youtube vids about the topic and with visual inspection, I appears I do not have the crank system at the point of the slide out. That seems, is for systems with additional motors for the slide outs. I gather that both are run off my single motor. What I can find in the Lippert manual suggest that I can manually work my stands and slide out by using a 1/4" Allen drive on the motor itself. However, don't I have to open certain valves to manually operate either the jacks or the slide out? Opening both valves seems to be a recipe for disaster. I feel like I'm missing something but we also feel strongly that we need to work these procedures just in case on a long trip the hydrolics don't function. Thoughts?

You should have a valve block mounted to the motor. It will have a series of solenoids on it and they will have knurled knobs on the front of them. You need to operate the knobs to open the solenoid for the device that you want to operate. That allows you to manually operate each device manually. Just be sure to close the valves after you finish operating the device.

You only want one valve open at a time so you don't inadvertently operate multiple devices at the same time.

It would be nice of you could post a picture of your particular hydraulic pump system.
