Slide inner trim damage from items being caught

I'm sure we are not the only ones who had a cabinet door get caught while opening a slide. This happened to us and the inner trim got pulled away. Anyone have repair tips for such damage?
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. You din't mention what rig you have. I have reattached the trim around the slide box using a pin nailer on several rigs with good results. I did find it works best by angling the gun at about a 30* angle.

Catalina 333 RETS. While traveling on a dirt road the one cabinet door which is at floor level came open. When opening the slide she did not notice the cabinet door was ajar and the inner side trim caught the door and tore it off the hinges. The pressure also bent the inner side trim outwards.

Had a LARGE can of beans escape from a cabinet and didn't see it till it was too late. Trim stayed put, but the 4" thick support behind it...tore completely off. Found only 3 short screws were holding the support beam in. Removed all the trim around my slides and added longer screws to all the support beams on the slides.

This is a problem due to the huge demand for RV's lately and the big rush to make the bottom line BIG. The RV's are being build with some pretty cheap materials and the time allotted to meet the daily quota. Some are just built by bad design which I have found not to make sense. The placement of cabinets, TV's, fireplaces, etc.
