Slide is not going out

i have a 2011 Wildwood 26 TBSS. i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to manually get it out or at least started. Motor is working. thx.

Maybe it's just stuck? Ours got stuck once. I called the place where we bought it. The suggested someone kinda gently push on it while somebody else was operating the button. It worked for us.

you may have a manual crank handle somewhere in the TT. It can be used to extend or retract the slide. check your manual. Also since it si a 2011 I would be seeking warrenty repairs.

Slide seals get sticky in the summer and iced shut in the winter.
Stuck seals can overload the motor's fuse (located near the battery) or cause the "end of travel" pinion gear to jump off the slide "rack."

That "push" helps unstick the seal. I have also had good luck with "rocking" the slide by rocking the switch in; then out.

Prevention is the best policy here. Spray slide seal treatment on the inside and outside seals every six months or so.

it may not be obvious but are the travel bars installed?

if not, our slide stuck quite often when we first had it. found out because we didn't have a slide topper installed, residue, sap and grime got on the seals and became like a glue. i couldn't even push it apart. i had to wedge something between the seals and the side of the trailer, to break loose the adhesion between them.
we quickly had a topper installed and have never had this issue since.
one reason is that we camp a lot in forested areas with lots of tree residue.

most all slides I have seen do have a manual crank in an such occasion that the motor wont work or has a blown fuse .
if you can hear the motor turning or working then more than likely it has shear a pin that has broken .
they install shear pins incase the slide out gets jammed from an obstruction.
but i have seen then break just in normal use .

got it fixed, must of been sticking a bit and just needed a few turns on the manual crank to help get it started. Thx.
