Slide motor needs replacement

My schwintek slide motor needs replacement and the slide is closed. One motor works but one is not moving. I know it's not the controller or cable. I can't push the dead side open to access the screw. Thought about drilling a hole in the exterior trim to get access to the screw. Any suggestions. It's a small slide.

Have you tried the electronic override? There are no errors on the controller?

Had same problem last year. me and my bro were able to move it out about a foot by pushing very hard ! we are big guys so maybe that helped . Had to remove the power to the motors first to let off brakes
Ive been told no way cant be done ..... worked for us just saying

a possible option

after removing power to release the brake, would it be possible to use a bottle jack and a purpose cut 2x4 to push on each of the steel slide members horizontally to push it out enough to access the screw?

May have to either try to remove the exterior slide fascia or hire the Packer offensive line to push.

I disconnected power to the bad motor and pushed out easier than I thought. Didn't need the Packers after all. Changed the motor and back working again. One of the wires broke off the motor circuit board.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what you did to get it fixed. Especially the part about removing the power and being able to move the slide.
