Slide moved by itself

Last weekend we took our Freedom Express 276rkds out for a 4 night trip...drove 2 hrs through pouring rain and had to set up in the rain as well.

Wife was unpacking inside and asked me why i had run the bedroom slide out only a foot...I thought she had done it! At this point I tried to move slide completely out but had no response in or out from switch!

While digging out the book to see how to manually open slide, the slide activated by itself and went out... a few minutes later it went in by itself as well... felt haunted at this point

When I hit the switch, I was able to move slide in and out as designed and let it go expecting to call for mobile help if needed...

No more issues since... anyone ever had this happen to them?

Also, does anyone know how to manually move the forward slide. It doesn't have a place to put the handle and turn like the back slide. (Manual was very confusing)

Thanks for your thoughts

sounds like your switch may have a short.. remove it and see if the wires are tight

I'm glad you added the part about the rain. Some times that type of info is very important.

My bet is that the switch got wet inside and caused your problems.

You might want to get some water repellent spray (CRC Silicone, WD-40 silicone, etc.) and coat the switches good with it. That may help in the future.
