Slide Not Working 2012 Salem Cruise Lite

Hey folks.

I have a 2012 Cruise Lite Model SMT281QBXL. I bought it new and have only had this trailer out 3 times. Now the slide will only open about 6" on one side and not at all on the other. I've asked Forest River warranty if they would tell me if there are 2 motors for the slide and where they are. He told me to take it to a dealer and now he won't return my emails.

Does anyone know where the motors are on this model? The under carriage is completely covered with a nylon tarp and behind that is wood. I don't want to start cutting holes not knowing where the motor(s) are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well.... An Update.

I have found out that this has a Schwintek slide system and the motors are in the wall. No thanks to Forest River Warranty who won't return my emails.

One thing I can guarantee is that I will never ever spend another dime on a Forest River product.

The first time I took this out I had to have a service guy come and cut the self adjusting brakes off so I could tow it back to the shop. The second time I take it out, it has a leak. The third and last time I take it out the slide doesn't work.

Because it is now 3 years old, I have no warranty. It's going to cost about $1000 Canadian to get it fixed!

Talk about a lemon.
