I have a 2006 Flagstaff 8524RLS when I open my slide out the actuator clutches and some times when I close it also, I have to start it by manualy cranking it,is their a way to adjust the clutch ? I was told the actuator they used was to small and I need a larger one??
The size of the actuater has nothing to with it clutching.
Its clutching because the clutch mechanism isn't strong enough
To hold the torque of the motor versus the amount of
force to move the slide out. Imo

Do I have this posted in the proper forum? I can't believe this has not happened to others,
People tend to hold the button a bit too long when opening/closing the slide, instead waiting to hear the clutch slip. Do that enough times, and parts wear out. You just need to repair the drive.
It isn't because the clutch isn't "strong" enough, as it obviously worked when new.
