Slide Out Awning adjustment??

Hey all,

I have a 2011 Sandpiper 355QBQ 5th wheel with 4 slides..... 3 on the driver side and 1 on the back passenger side. All slides have awnings that roll out with the slide when it is extended, installed from factory. The larger middle slide has alot of slack in the awning and I was wondering if there is a quick way that an adjustment can be made to tighten or add tension to the awning? I tried to refer to the owners manual...... Oh wait, No I didnt because they never gave me one!
I am pretty mechincally inclined and feel I could handle whatever needs to be done, but I just want to make sure I am doing it the most efficient way. Thanks in advance for any help.

Ken I don't have slidout awnings but have you tried the awning
manufactures web site?

No, but again, I'm not sure who they are made by as they were on here from the factory, and I did not receive anything specifically for those awnings when I bought it...... any suggestions??

Sounds like it needs more tension obviously ............
Can one end be taken off and wind more tension in the spring?

One way would be to slide it out of the track and wrap it around the tube a couple of times. I'm considering putting mre tension on mine too. Can you post a picture of one end for identification purposes? Mine are A&E. If we have the same I can post when I do mine.

Don't know if this would help or not, it is for a regular awning. It might give some insight into how the awnings work and what to be aware of when re-tensioning them.
