I have a 2016 275BHSS Surveyor 5th wheel. We bought it new & have had it since March of this year. It has one super slide.
I was just inspecting the underbelly for where mice & critters could get in and I see that there are pretty big gaps in the slide while it is open. Both sides are the same. Just the flimsy seals are the only barrier (and they don't really even cover it all because of the angles).
1) I would like to know if this is normal?
2) What should I do about it (especially to keep critters out)?
I'm not very good at describing it, so I attached photos.
From the inside, they are on both sides where the trim meets the floor.
View from the outside with circle showing where I am talking about

The outer seal:
Both seals pulled back (you can see inside a little):
Fork - I placed a fork from inside the RV through the gap to illustrate the gap (I can get a couple of fingers through the gap).
Inside RV, bottom of slide trim. Gap is under the carpet.
Carpet pulled back with fork I placed in the gap to show where what I mean (and oops, I see a typo, I did not build a fort in the gap
)
I appreciate your advice & thoughts about this!
