Slide out limit switches?
We have a '17 Cruise Lite 210RBXL and it has an electrical/gear driven slide out (I believe this is the proper term for it). When we went for our walk through at the dealer they showed us how to push the in out switch but didn't really give us much info on when it to stop pushing the button (my bad for not asking this question that day - I guess we were excited with our new TT). So after I got home I RTFM and I am not seeing an answer to the question I have.
Here's what I see and want to better understand. When I push the button to run the slide out ward I am inside the trailer and I watch as the trim strip starts to come into contact with the wall of the TT. I stop pushing the "out" switch because I don't want to send it too far and when I release the switch I hear the motor change tone and it seems like it pushes the slide back IN just a fraction of an inch. I see/hear this same action when I bring the slide back in.
I have a bit of engineering and electrical knowledge so what I am thinking is that there are limit switches that should prevent me from making the slide over travel in either direction if I hold the switch too long. Does anyone know if that is the case? Also, that fraction of an inch of opposite direction motion - is that actually the motors driving back or is that the seal pushing back after the power is removed from the drive motors?
I just want to understand how it works so I don't damage the slide at some point. All I saw in the manual on the slides were things like "make sure you have room to fully extend the slide" and "make sure you have a full charge on the battery". A bit more how to use info would be nice...
Thanks all!
