*Slide Out Lock Bars* ?

There are no stickers anywhere in my 2007 Wildcat 5th wheel designating where to place any 'slide lock bars'.

It has (2) Hydraulic operated slides.

Questions... Are any 'slide out lock bars' required for my rig???
Is it possible for hydraulic slides to creep out under way or fail and move out?

Reason for asking is that I have to upgrade my drivers licence with an endorsement to haul my weight of RV...and one of the items on the check list is ' be sure slide out locks are in place'.
As I don't want to risk any demerits because I will probably get my share as it is.

Perhaps I will make some pieces of 2x3 wood to fit with long strips of 'caution tape' that will fit in place and do the job to be sure I don't collect any extra demerits regarding the slide outs....play it safe.

Thanks for any input on this

I haven't seen slide locks with a new RV for quite awhile. The electric slides don't need one...until you have to disengage a bad motor anyway. The last slide lock I had looked like a section of 1 inch wood closet rod with rubber step stool bumpers on both ends. I had a bright red "Remove Before Flight" tag attached to it that dangled over the wall...

Hydraulic slides *can* fail. You can buy slide locks at Amazon:
Robot Check

If you have a hydraulic slide, this is a "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" gadget.

A friend's Berkshire blew a Hydraulic slide on his way back from FL this year and having them saved his bacon.
