Slide out lubrication instructions

Does anybody know how the slide out bars should be lubricated?

Also, the back gear on the slide out broke when we tried to move the slide out out. Can I replace it myself or is it a service replacement?

If you're talking about the slide rails with gear teeth on the bottom: I just talked to a service man at the trailer dealer the other day about properly lubrication the slide rails and he said to put the dry lube on all four sides of the bar and the teeth.
