Slide out of alignment
We have a 2015 27RLWS
I've noticed when the kitchen slide is retracted it sticks out approx one inch at the bottom toward the from of the trailer. Reading other posts it sounds like it needs realigning. However not 100% on how to do it... any help appreciated.
From what I can see underneath is a drive shaft with a cog at each end and square / teethed rails but can't see any drive motor, I'm guessing it's under the belly cover

slide out of adjustment
You are right, about the motor being located under the bottom cover , but it is on the opposite side of the slide. If you look closely you will see that, that bar with the teeth on it is attached to a bar that runs all the way across the slide outside wall. The brackets that are attached to it have slots for adjustment. The more you look at the way it is put together the more obvious it is on what needs to be adjusted.

slide adjustment
Yes.The motor is located where the manual crank hooks up to. That square drive is part of the motor gear box.

There are a lot of YouTube videos on how to adjust slides, some from owners that are just figuring it out as they video and others that are actual dealer service people who know how to do it before turning on the camera.
The whole process is somewhat intuitive once you find the adjustment points.

Thanks,
Just hesitant on where exactly to cut the underbelly, want to make sure I'm in the right place. From what I've read and seen on videos it seems simple enough.
Pull pin , disengage drive, shift slide and engage slide then place pin back.
It's just locating the right area lol to cut into belly

Make SURE you set the stop can correctly.
Even the technicians can get it wrong.

Not sure what you mean about cutting. The slide on my unit is open on the bottom and all adjustments are out in the open. Up/Down on end of the frame. In/Out adjustment on end of motor unit. Front/Rear on end of slide frame with more on end of operating mechanism. See if you can find video that shows adjustments with slide at least partially out. Adjust, retract, measure, extend and adjust again.

I just replaced a broken gear shaft on my 192RBS. There is just one channel on the bottom of the slide. No way to adjust or keep slide even while opening and closing. The bottom goes out until it jerks the top out. Has anyone installed an additional guide channel?

No need to cut anything. Slides are relatively easy to adjust. There are instruction videos on the Forest River site.

Yep. Was looking at wrong type...
Found the adjustments.
Tried adjusting every way lol. Managed to get the right side(from end) to sit flusher when retracted however when extended now had daylight...;( have set everything back as it was and no daylight, just the annoying bit that doesn't sit flush when retracted

Adjust so flush when retracted and then adjust end of motor unit so it doesn't extend so far as to show daylight.
You need to find the happy balance in all the adjustments but having a good seal when retracted is most important.

Slide adjustment
So I watched the videos and read the manuals but the slide still won't seal tightly at the bottom.
Background: the back part of my super slide was sticking out so I extended it midway and slid the rear gear out of sync with the rail spline. I moved the slide in an inch and after some interesting manipulation finally got the gear and the rail spline reengaged.
I retracted the slide only to discover that the front side was now sticking out. I then did the same thing again and made sure that the front and back measured the same distance out. I reengaged the gears and rail splines retracted the slide and that's where I'm at - the darn thing won't pull in completely at the bottom and is sticking out about 1/2 inch.
Any suggestions?

Yes I watched the videos. The maker of the slide is power gear which is now owned by Lipert.
I'm wondering if anyone has this slide manufacturer type.
There's one thing I haven't tried which is to disengage the motor drive gear and move the slide in a bit and then reengage the motor. If anyone has any stories or advice I'd appreciate it.

Just a warning; adjusting the slide too tight (beyond a snug waterproof seal) can destroy the slide out actuator if the motor clutch does not slip like it is supposed to.

Good point. The problem is that I still can't get it to snug up unless I use the manual retraction bolt. Unless i am totally off the mark somewhere there's got to be a control box that should let me adjust the open max and closed max distances but I can't find it.
I may just end up getting a thicker seal.
