What types of PM do you do for your slide outs?

I thoroughly spray the rails with slide out lube at least once a year. Otherwise I just look to see that nothing looks broken or about to break.

The users manual tells you what needs to be done. If you do not have one you can go on line and down load a copy. Usually lube the slide gaskets (rubber), lube the slide mechanisms (your manual will tell you the type of lube to use and how often).

Slide Out Preventative Maintenance

I frequently clean the top, bottom, and sides of the slide to protect the seals. I also treat the seals and lube the racks twice per year.

3-in-One Slide-Out Silicone Lube

Has anyone used 3-in-One RV Slide-Out Silicone Lube for their slide outs? Found this at Walmart and thought I would give it a try. I then looked at the Interactive Video manuals and it says it should have PTFE , or something like that in it. Don't see it on the 3-in-One can. Any Thoughts?

I'm a WD40 fan and they make this product with PTFE. Seems to work great and I can get it at Home Depot or from Amazon.

Lube the rails with a spray on dry lube and treat the rubber slide seals.

Hey, I just wanted to thank those of you who have responded to the post. I'm also new to this game (my slide-out on my pop-up was in a different league) and I'm interested to see how you all handle this scenario ... and the specific products and cycles you use.

Again, just want to underscore that memorializing these practices help morons like me ... and others who aren't morons but just want to benchmark practices.
