Slide Out Question (SOLVED)

I have a question about the slide outs.
I see from many discussions that the seals should be sprayed but found nothing about greasing the slide rails or gears.
What are people using to grease these rails so that they don't become corroded and slide smoothly. Also how often do you do this.
Thanks for the help.

may want to post what kind of trailer.

i have a cardinal w/hydorlic actuaters. have never lubericated the guides or the gear that keeps the large room streight. was told, when i bought it, that they didn't need luberication. so far no problem (10yrs). it still doesn't feel right but i have no complaints.

if u have screw type actuaters, they are different and may need luberication.
