I use a dry graphite spray. It holds up well a little costly but gives a great coating. That product will work from RV or you can go to Napa and buy there spray on white litheon a lot cheaper it will dry and not pick up grime. DO NOT USE GREASE. You will be surprised how nice they work after you apply it to the gear and I spray the whole bar teeth and sides and upper. I do it about every 4 mos. I also hit my adjustment screws and nuts at the same time.
