Any self remedies or advice? Does it need to go to the shop?

CENTERING THE SLIDES IN THE OPENING
After some lengthy trips, I noticed the slides were off center on all three of our slides. One needed to move 1/2" and two 1/4" to be centered. The seals were dragging on the close side. Going underneath on the open slides I found all the outer slide nuts on the slotted metal mounts were all loose. WOW, no washers and no lock washers. Our slides have through-the-frame power units.
SOLUTION: I spray painted the ends of the slotted metal mounts white. That gave me a reference mark when the slide is moved left or right.
My quick fix was to take a large BFH [ball peen hammer] and hit the slotted metal mounts in the direction I wanted it to move. The spouse added a push to help the movement. Make sure all the nuts are loose. I tightened a few nuts and ran the slides in and out a couple of times to verify the settings. Once good, I added washers and lock washers to all bolts going through the slotted metal mounts.
