Don't think its hydraulic, or electric cable drive. Thinking more its a rack and pinnion set up where the motor drives a gear, meshes with a shaft which drives the slide in and out. I had a worm screw arangment in a 03 Coachmen, single slide. The stops on the slide to body must be allowing the slide to jump out of engagement and allows the slide to "jump out" under its own weight. It will damage itself to a much larger repair if it continues too long.
