Slide out slipping

I have a 2003 lexington class B/C with slide out on left side. When driving down a somewhat rough road or making right turns, the slide out opens about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch each time until I finally have to stop and hit slide 'in' switch. Any simple fixes to stop this? Thanks- Bamalloyd

If it's a hydraulic system, I'd say you have a leak in it somewhere. The simple fix is to find the leak and repair.

Don't think its hydraulic, or electric cable drive. Thinking more its a rack and pinnion set up where the motor drives a gear, meshes with a shaft which drives the slide in and out. I had a worm screw arangment in a 03 Coachmen, single slide. The stops on the slide to body must be allowing the slide to jump out of engagement and allows the slide to "jump out" under its own weight. It will damage itself to a much larger repair if it continues too long.

Sorry, its 12volt with gearbox. Further inspection shows dont think there is quick fix. Im guessing either bad gear in gearbox or brake/clutch slipping in motor. Any other ideas ? Thanks again

You could use the slide out bars that attach between the outside wall and the trim of the slideout. They are used to prevent the slide from moving.
